About Liability Sales:
The Liability Sales department drives the bank’s business across 2700+ branches, focusing on the acquisition of liabilities, assets, and retail forex business. The team sources retail and corporate deposits, salary and non-salary accounts, trust accounts, and forex business, with an aim to strengthen the retail book of the bank.
Role Overview:
The Sales Manager (SM) plays a key role in the bank’s sales force by acquiring new customers and identifying new business opportunities. The SM manages a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs), focusing on selling Current Accounts and Savings Accounts (CASA) based on customer needs. This role includes customer mapping, addressing queries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets individually and through the management of a team of BDEs.
- Identify new sales opportunities and build new customer relationships for CASA products.
- Manage and deepen relationships with existing customers.
- Ensure prompt servicing of leads and resolve discrepancies during the application process.
- Record and track customer engagements through the CRM system.
- Develop and implement sourcing, activation, coaching, and mentoring plans for BDEs.
- Ensure compliance with KYC/SEBI regulations and other legal guidelines governing financial services.
Key Skills:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills in English and the local language.
- Sales & Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills with a focus on lead conversion and deal closure.
- Customer Service: Commitment to providing outstanding service and resolving customer queries effectively.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Ability to guide and develop the sales team.
Qualifications:
- Graduation / Post-Graduation from a recognized university.
- 4–8 years of experience in the BFSI sector or a relevant field.
Role Proficiencies:
- Strong sales orientation and the ability to consistently achieve targets.
- Skilled at handling pressure and working with tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage complex client scenarios and dynamic priorities.
- Risk management and decision-making skills for self and team.
