In the city of Raigarh, the manager of Axis Bank was robbed of more than 5 crores after being attacked with a knife.
A masked robber first attacked the bank manager with a knife, leaving him injured, and locked all the employees in a room.
According to the information, around 8:45 AM, five to six masked youths armed with weapons entered Axis Bank on Gharghoda Road in the city of Raigarh. Threatening everyone present in the bank, they locked them in a room. They then demanded the key to the bank’s locker from the manager.
During this ordeal, the robbers attacked the bank manager with a knife, causing injuries to his legs and torso. After receiving initial medical treatment, the manager returned to the bank, where police officers are questioning him. The manager informed the police that the robbers took the key and fled with the cash kept in the locker.
Following this morning’s incident, the police are on high alert. Checkpoints have been set up on the main routes in and out of the city to search for the suspects.
According to SP Sadanand Kumar, there were 7 to 8 robbers involved. Initially, some of the suspects arrived on motorcycles and surveyed the area and the bank’s security. Later, additional suspects arrived in a car. CCTV footage outside the bank has captured the suspects in action.
