AIPNBOF GS announces to create new union across all PSU Banks

A new initiative has been proposed to form an officers’ union across all 11 Public Sector Banks (PSBs). According to a post shared by Krishna Kumar, an officers’ union can be registered in a bank if it has membership of 10% of the total officers’ strength or 100 officers, whichever is lower, to begin the process.

The post said that there is already an officers’ union, AIPNBOF, in Punjab National Bank (PNB), with around 7,500 members. The proposed initiative aims to form a new officers’ union in the remaining PSBs as well. Krishna Kumar said that for creating a new apex All India Bank Officers’ Union, officers’ unions from at least three banks would need to be affiliated with it.

He appealed to officers who are interested in helping with the formation process to come forward and share their contact details through WhatsApp. He said that he wants to complete the entire process within the next 90 days.

Bankers in India are angry with UFBU for deferring the strike without any proper reason. Moreover, till now UFBU Leaders have not even conducted a single press conference or interaction with bankers. UFBU suddenly deferred strike and bankers want reason for it.
