AIBEA says Bank Employees will provide service out of their Working Hours, Bankers stand with Nation!

The All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) has expressed deep concern over the recent escalation in tensions along India’s border areas following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. In a letter addressed to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the association pledged full support to the nation and reaffirmed its commitment to serve people in affected areas without any disruption. In the letter dated May 10, AIBEA General Secretary C.H. Venkatachalam highlighted the deteriorating situation in the border states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, where tensions have risen due to fears of war and further attacks. The association said that the normal life of citizens in these areas has been badly affected due to war situation between India and Pakistan. AIBEA stated that it has instructed its members working in bank branches across these regions to provide uninterrupted banking services, regardless of working hours or personal inconvenience. The aim is to support the residents in disturbed areas, especially during this time of uncertainty.
“We have informed our members to help people in every possible way and to continue banking operations without delay, even under difficult conditions,” the letter stated.
Further, the association emphasized its solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces, acknowledging the vital role played by the military in ensuring the nation’s safety. AIBEA also announced that it is preparing to organize blood donation camps on short notice in these border areas to assist soldiers who may need blood in emergency situations.
