The All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) has strongly condemned the alleged mistreatment of young women activists by authorities during recent protest programmes. In a press release dated October 18, 2026, Richa Gandhi, Joint Secretary of AIBEA and Convenor of the All India Women Council of AIBEA, expressed deep concern over the incident and called for respect for women’s democratic rights.

AIBEA said that women have the right to participate in peaceful protests, express their views and raise their voices without fear or intimidation. The association stated that this is a fundamental democratic right that must be respected and protected at all times.
