The Chairman of State Bank of India (SBI) – Shri Challa Sreenivasulu Setty met the Finance Minister – Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman on 6 October 2026.
Today, the finance ministry has called a review meeting of heads of banks today. The meeting will be held between MD&CEOs of Banks and DFS Secretary – Sanjay Lohiya.
As per information received, the meeting will review the progress of various financial inclusion schemes, including flagship Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Jan Suraksha.
Whether any other discussions, such as five-day banking or PLI, will also be held remains unknown as of now. If we receive any updates, we will inform our readers at the earliest.
