
New Delhi: A total of 3.94 lakh jobs have been created across various Public Sector Banks (PSBs) in different cadres and levels, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed the Rajya Sabha.
Among the major contributors, SBI alone has generated 94,000 jobs, while Bank of Baroda and PNB have added 41,000 and 55,000 jobs, respectively. Other key banks that have contributed to job creation include:
- Bank of India – 36,000 jobs
- Canara Bank – 54,000 jobs
- Union Bank of India – 38,000 jobs
- Central Bank of India – 15,000 jobs
- Indian Bank – 21,000 jobs
- UCO Bank – 13,000 jobs
- Indian Overseas Bank – 7,000 jobs
- Bank of Maharashtra – 7,000 jobs
- Punjab & Sind Bank – 8,000 jobs
