A senior manager at an aircraft parts manufacturing company in Kanpur has been accused of behaving inappropriately with a female colleague. The woman has filed a complaint against him, and the police have officially registered a case.
According to the complaint, the manager made vulgar and offensive comments to her. He also tried to touch her inappropriately by grabbing her hand. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Shravan Kumar Singh, confirmed that the case has been registered and that an investigation is now underway. The incident happened in an area that falls under the Chakeri police station.
The woman, who joined the Kanpur-based company in 2019 after being transferred there, shared more details in her complaint. She said that recently, she saw two people at the workplace involved in inappropriate behavior. When she reported this matter to the manager, instead of taking action, the manager and other staff members began to harass her.
She further said that the manager didn’t stop there — he kept making indecent remarks and pressured her to follow his instructions. When she refused, he asked her for sexual favors and even threatened to have her transferred to another location if she didn’t agree to his demands.
The woman is now seeking justice through the legal system, and the police have started looking into the case.
