The GST Department is one of the most important departments of the Government. This department is important for collecting taxes on behalf of the Government. As per RTI reply, the office of the GST department opens every week from Monday to Friday except on declared holidays. Daily office timings of every member of Staff / Officer are from 09:15 AM to 05:45 PM, and Lunch Hour timings are from 01:15 PM to 01:45 PM.

All officers have to arrive and leave as per the office timings. The Central Government introduced the Biometric System, which was suspended during the Covid-19 period. If on any specific day biometric system is not working, Attendance Registers are maintained.
The department works only 5 days a week with fixed timings and fixed lunch hours. On the contrary, the bank employees in India are still fighting for 5-Day Banking, fixed timings, and lunch hours.
