In Badaun’s Ughaiti area, criminals recently tried to break into Prathama UP bank, creating quite a stir. Although they failed to crack open the main safe and steal cash, they did manage to mess up documents and force open the strong room. The branch manager, Vijay Singh, reported the incident to the police promptly on Monday.

The bank, located on Bijnor Highway, had closed for the weekend on Friday and had Sunday and the following Saturday off. Taking advantage of the quiet time, the thieves struck during the night by breaking a window to get inside. They were aware of the security cameras, so they used a brush to block the view of their faces.

Their main goal seemed to be finding the keys to the strong room, as they messed up documents and forcefully opened the locked door. Despite managing to break the lock of the strong room and attempting to get into the cash cupboard, they couldn’t get any money. Frustrated, they left in a hurry, leaving everything in a mess.

The next morning, when bank employees arrived, they found papers all over and the strong room broken into. Luckily, the main safe with the money was still secure. The bank’s management and the police quickly responded to handle the situation.

CCTV Clues

The CCTV footage showed the thief hiding behind a chair when they first entered, briefly showing their face while blocking the camera with a brush. This small glimpse helped investigators start looking into who might be responsible.

Police Challenges

The police have a tough job ahead. They need to figure out how the thief managed to get through the window and understand the difference between what they saw on the camera and what they found in real life. It’s a reminder of how important it is to keep banks and other places safe from these kinds of crimes.

What’s Next?

As the investigation continues, the police and bank staff are working together to piece together what happened and catch the people responsible. Everyone in the area is hoping for a quick resolution and for things to be safer in the future.
