US Federal Reserve Board issues enforcement actions against employee of Ally Bank and Regions Bank
The US Federal Reserve Board has issued enforcement actions against employee of Ally Bank and Regions Bank.
Action has been taken against Lidia Estrada, Former employee of Ally Bank, Sandy, Utah for Falsification of documents in connection with request for increased compensation. Action has also been taken against Brenda Fuson, Former employee of Regions Bank, Birmingham, Alabama for Misappropriation of customer funds.
Fraud by Lidia Estrada
Estrada was an engineer at the Bank from February 2023 until her termination in September 2024. In October 2023, Estrada requested that the Bank place her on a year-long military leave of absence and submitted fabricated military orders and pay stubs in connection with this request. Estrada did not serve on active duty in the military during this time, but was instead working full-time for other private employers. Estrada fraudulently obtained $31,000 in compensation from Ally during her purported military leave.
Fraud by Brenda Fuson
Fuson was employed as a relationship banker at the Bank’s Smithville, Tennessee, branch until her termination on August 2, 2024. In a series of transactions from April 2022 through July 2024, Fuson withdrew $323,500 from a Bank customer’s accounts for her personal benefit.
Fuson also misappropriated $4,000 from her cash box, which she has partially repaid to the Bank. In November 2025, Fuson pleaded guilty to theft in Tennessee state court in connection with the foregoing misconduct, received a suspended sentence, and agreed to make full restitution to the Bank.
Action taken against Employees

- They cannot take part in any banking activities or operations.
- They are not allowed to join as officer, director, or employee in any bank.
- They cannot participate in decision-making or management of any financial institution.
- They are not allowed to vote or influence voting in banking matters.
- They cannot transfer or handle any authorization or proxy related to banks.
- They are prohibited from violating any rules or agreements set by banking authorities.
