UP Gramin Bank Reserve List Controversy: Lacs of Candidates waiting for List

Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (UPGB) has not yet released the reserve list of IBPS RRB IV Recruitment for Office Assistant. The details of number wise candidates who joined Bank, is given below.

The Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (UPGB) is an Indian Regional rural bank (RRB) in Uttar Pradesh established on 1 May 2025. The bank was formed by the amalgamation of Aryavart Bank, Baroda UP Bank and Prathama UP Gramin Bank under The “One State, One RRB” policy of government.

Now let’s have a look at the vacancies of each Bank.

The above data shows that only 643 candidates have joined the Bank against total vacancy of 1038. 123 candidates have resigned from the post of Office Assistant. This means only 520 candidates are currently working with the Bank against total vacancy of 1038. This means that just around 50% staff recruitment has been fulfilled in Bank and there is still huge vacancy of 518 candidates.

This huge vacancy leads to staff Crisis and ultimately impact the employees and the Bank. Moreover, the unemployed youth, waiting for reserve list, are being denied employment.

Now, if we talk about officers recruitment, then the situation is same in officer cadre also. In e-Aryavart Bank, Total 14 Scale I Officer did not join the bank. Out of this, category wise candidates are as follows: UR-07; OBC (NCL)-04; EWS-03. Total 13 Scale I Officers have resigned from the Bank.

In e-Baroda UP Grameen Bank, Total 50 Scale I Officer did not join the Bank. Out of this, category wise candidates were – UR-23; OBC (NCL)-13; EWS-03; SC-09 & ST-02. Total 07 Scale I Officer have resigned from the Bank.

This data shows that UP Gramin Bank should release the reserve list to address staff shortage in branches.
