Electricity Department:

  • Sarosa Fatehganj SDO Aman Tiwari was suspended on Tuesday following allegations of misusing his position and embezzling funds.
  • He was also accused of facilitating electricity theft in several houses by illegally extending cables.
  • Additionally, he allegedly disregarded safety regulations by providing connections beyond the permissible radius of 40 meters.

Consolidation Achievements:

  • Despite the disciplinary actions, the Consolidation Department reported significant progress.
  • As of December 2023, 1,34,425 cases have been disposed of in the current financial year.
  • The consolidation process has been completed in 231 villages, and these villages have been excluded from further consolidation activities.
  • Revenue and consolidation authorities are actively resolving issues in villages where the process has been finalized.

The Yogi Adityanath government’s crackdown on corruption and laxity serves as a strong message that it will not tolerate any wrongdoing by its officials. This action is expected to improve public trust in the government and enhance the efficiency of its departments.
