In Raichur district, Karnataka, a teacher faced severe backlash after sending inappropriate messages to a female colleague. The incident, which unfolded at Adarsha Government School, has sparked significant public attention.
What Happened?
The teacher in question, Mehboob Ali, an assistant at Adarsha Government School, reportedly sent obscene messages to a female guest teacher. According to police reports, Ali’s messages were lewd, asking the guest teacher to “entertain him.” Despite her attempts to ignore his advances, Ali’s harassment persisted.
Confrontation and Apology
Unable to tolerate the harassment any longer, the guest teacher confided in her family. On Monday, her relatives visited the school, confronted Ali, and physically assaulted him. They also stripped him of his clothes. As a result, Ali was coerced into writing a public apology to the teacher and was forced to touch her feet as a gesture of remorse. The family warned him against any future misconduct.
Ali, pleading for mercy due to his personal circumstances, avoided legal action as the victim chose not to file a police complaint. However, videos of Ali apologizing and touching the victim’s feet soon went viral on social media.

Raichur police have stated that legal action will be considered if the victim decides to file a formal complaint against Ali. The situation remains under scrutiny.
