Supreme Court of India Holidays Calendar 2026

1.Sundays and Supreme Court Holidays are shown in red.
2.The Christmas and New Year holidays of the Calendar Year 2025 will extend up to Friday, the 2nd January, 2026. The Registry of the Court shall, however, reopen on Friday, the 2nd January, 2026. The Court will resume its sitting on Monday, the 5th January, 2026.
3.Holi, Dussehra and Diwali actually fall on Wednesday, the 4th March, 2026, Tuesday, the 20th October, 2026 and Sunday, the 8th November, 2026 respectively.
4.The partial Court working days will commence on Monday, the 1st June, 2026 and the Full Court working days will resume from Monday, the 13th July, 2026. The Registry of the Court will be functioning throughout the partial Court working days except on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. However, the Registry of the Court will remain open on last Saturday of the partial Court working days i.e. 11th July, 2026.
5.Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), Muharram and Milad-un-Nabi or Id-e-Milad which fall on Saturday, the 21st March, 2026, Wednesday, the 27th May, 2026, Friday, the 26th June, 2026 and Wednesday, the 26th August, 2026 respectively are subject to change depending upon the visibility of the Moon.
6.During the Christmas/ New year Holidays, the Registry will remain closed from Friday, the 25th December, 2026 to Friday, the 1st January, 2027 (both days inclusive).
