Today, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with the board members of State Bank of India (SBI). She addressed the board members at the launch of Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Foundation Day of State Bank of India (SBI). She also inaugurated 70 new branches along with 501 Women CSPs.













The Finance Minister said that State Bank of India (SBI) was established through an Act of Parliament on July 1, 1955. Over the past seven decades, it has expanded its customer base to over 51 crore. The bank’s total business has grown to ₹87 lakh crore, supported by a workforce of more than 2.37 lakh employees. SBI serves approximately 5.6% of the global population, making it one of the largest financial institutions in the world.
Sitharaman said SBI, the largest bank in the Indian subcontinent, is now ideally positioned to deliver superior value creation through sustainable growth.SBI aims to achieve this by enhancing its operational excellence across lending performance, asset quality, profitability and capital generation, thereby driving wealth creation, she said. We hope SBI should bring operational efficiency, with professional attitude in HR policy on need basis at different demographic area. Then I hope one day SBI will be shining as Venus and will become example for other financial institution of the world. 🙏
Though we the pensioners are still neglected financially and in other aspects also after serveing years after years.
