Diplomats from the Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, Cambodia, UAE, Japan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal have confirmed their participation, along with business delegates from these countries.
Meghalaya: An Emerging Investment Hub
According to a Meghalaya government official, the state is evolving into a premier investment destination due to its pro-business policies, strong infrastructure, and proactive governance. With a focus on sustainable development, innovation, and economic diversification, Meghalaya aims to become a strategic gateway for trade and investment in the region.
Promoting Northeast as an Export and Tourism Hub
One of the major discussions at the event will be on making Northeast India an export hub for agriculture, livestock, food processing, and manufacturing. Industry leaders and policymakers will explore ways to boost exports and improve trade facilitation.
Another key segment, North East India Travel, Tourism & Hospitality, will focus on promoting eco-tourism, adventure tourism, and medical tourism through digital innovation and public-private partnerships.
Opportunities for Businesses and Entrepreneurs
The three-day event will host business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, helping businesses, exporters, startups, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) of Meghalaya connect with potential investors and partners.
With a strong lineup of discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, the Act East Business Show 2024 is expected to play a crucial role in boosting trade, investment, and economic collaboration in the region.
