Period of Contract
- Minimum one year and maximum three years, or until the officer attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
- The initial contract may be for a period of two years, with the possibility of renewal for one additional year based on performance, subject to the attainment of 65 years of age.
- During the contract period with the bank, the retired officer shall not take up any assignment with another organization.
FLC Counsellor Eligibility
- Retired Officers of the Bank, e-ABs, or other PSBs, including RRBs, in Scale I up to SMGS IV shall be considered for engagement as Financial Literacy Counsellors. If the required number of retired staff from the Bank, e-ABs, or other PSBs are not available, then retired clerical staff from the Bank or e-ABs may also be considered. Officers retired in Scale I & above of SBI, e-ABs, other PSBs, or RRBs, and retired clerical staff of SBI/e-ABs shall be considered only if the required number of officers are not available.

Selection Process
The selection will be based on shortlisting and interview.
- Shortlisting:
- Mere fulfillment of minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview call.
- The Shortlisting Committee, constituted by the Bank, will decide the shortlisting parameters.
- An adequate number of candidates, as determined by the Bank, will be shortlisted and called for an interview.
- The Bank’s decision regarding interview calls shall be final, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- Interview:
- The interview will carry 100 marks.
- The qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
- No correspondence regarding qualifying marks will be entertained.
- Merit List:
- A circle-wise, category-wise merit list will be prepared in descending order based on interview scores.
- Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to be considered for selection.
- In case of a tie (same interview score), candidates will be ranked in descending order of their age.
