India’s largest public sector bank – SBI has signed an MoU (agreement) with Punjabi University to provide special offers to its employees. The MoU aims to provide a wide range of financial facilities to regular employees and pensioners. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor. It was signed by SBI Deputy General Manager Ravinder Kumar Gupta and University Registrar Dr Davinderpal Singh Sidhu.
Benefits offered by SBI to Employees of Punjabi University as per MoU
- Bank will provide life insurance cover of ₹10 lakh to the family of any employee who dies during service.
- SBI will also provide accidental insurance cover of ₹1.6 crore, along with disability benefits.
- Employees will also get a 50 per cent discount on ATM charges.
- Staff members will receive a 50 per cent discount on locker fees. Their family members will get a 10 per cent discount.
- Under the “Rishtey” scheme, family members of university employees can avail free RTGS, NEFT, and cheque book services at any SBI branch across India.
