SBI (State Bank of India) – the largest Public Sector Bank in India has postponed its order to open branches on Sunday in Jaipur. SBI has said that due to indispensable circumstances this decision has been postponed until further orders.
Earlier SBI had issued ordered that starting from November 13, 2024, the State Bank of India (SBI) branches in Jaipur will change their operating hours. Currently, the branches are open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, from November 13 onward, the new timings will be from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Additionally, to make banking more convenient for customers, some SBI branches were to be opened on Sundays. This was especially helpful for people who are busy during the week and need to visit the bank on weekends. Employees who worked on Sundays will be given a compensatory day off on Fridays, ensuring they still get their time off. These changes were being made to improve customer service and meet the growing needs of the market, allowing more flexibility for customers to visit the bank.
