SBI Archivist Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum: 27 years
• Maximum: 37 years

SBI Archivist Educational Qualification

• Postgraduate Degree in History with a specialization in Modern Indian History (Post-1750 AD period) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
• A compulsory PG Diploma/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Archival Studies or Records Management, or equivalent qualifications such as:
  • Archives Management
  • Public Records Management
  • Conservation and Reprography
  • Information and Communication Technology

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years as an archival professional in Central/State Governments, corporations, industrial houses, banks, or financial institution archives.
• Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with computers.
  • Experience in digitization and editing of records.

Note: Teaching or training experience is not considered for eligibility.

SBI Archivist Salary Structure

The pay scale for the Deputy Manager (Archivist) position is:
₹64,820 – ₹93,960 (MMGS-II Grade)
Other benefits include DA, HRA, CCA, NPS, LFC, medical facilities, and leave entitlements as per SBI’s rules.

Selection Process

Shortlisting and Interview

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on parameters set by the bank.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview, which carries 100 marks.
• Final selection will be based on merit, with scores determined solely by the interview.

Merit List

• Candidates with the same score at the cutoff will be ranked by age, with older candidates given preference.
