SBI Banswara Branch in Rajasthan got a Bomb Threat email. Not only SBI, but a bomb threat was also issued to the main post office of the region.
The city of Banswara in Rajasthan witnessed panic after authorities received a bomb threat targeting two important locations — the main post office and the main branch of the State Bank of India (SBI). The threat was reportedly sent through an official email.
This is not the only incident of bomb threat. Earlier on 3rd March 2026, State Bank of India (SBI) AIIMS branch and the SBI branch in East Delhi’s Shahdara, had also received bomb threats.
As soon as the threatening email was received, the police quickly responded and evacuated the main post office building.
After receiving the information, Kotwali Police Station Officer Budharam Bishnoi reached the spot along with a large police team. The entire area around the post office was cordoned off, and a bomb disposal squad equipped with modern equipment was called in to conduct a detailed search operation.
As a precaution, the police evacuated the bank premises and closed nearby shops to prevent any risk to the public. The surrounding area was also sealed off while security teams carried out inspections.
Authorities are currently investigating the source of the threatening emails, while security agencies remain on alert to ensure public safety.
