Rs 20 lakh looted from HDFC Bank in Bihar

In Begusarai, Bihar, on Thursday (March 21), criminals looted around 20 lakh rupees from HDFC Bank. Shortly after the bank opened, four to five armed criminals arrived. Begusarai SP Manish Kumar confirmed the robbery incident. The armed criminals carried out this major incident and fled. Chaos ensued at the scene after the incident.

This entire incident occurred at the HDFC Bank located at Har-Har Mahadev Chowk in the Nagar Thana area. It is reported that the criminals arrived armed with weapons. They held all employees and people present in the bank hostage. Subsequently, the robbery took place. Currently, several police stations have reached the scene after this incident. SP Manish Kumar is also present.

SP Manish Kumar said the incident occurred around 11 am. We are reviewing CCTV footage. No one has been harmed. According to the bank manager, they are estimating the loss to be 20 lakh rupees. Based on CCTV and other information, we are investigating. The involvement of five criminals has come to light.

A customer who was present in the bank said that four to five criminals arrived. They brandished pistols. Meanwhile, another person mentioned that some customers were also assaulted. On the other hand, it is also coming to light that after this incident, two criminals were apprehended inside the bank itself. However, the police have not confirmed this. Further information will be provided after investigation and a press conference. After tallying the cash, the total amount of the loot will be determined.
