On Monday night, a thief tried to steal by breaking the wall in Punjab National Bank located at Balaghat district headquarters. The miscreant also tried to open the cupboard kept in the bank, in which he could not succeed and absconded. The management informed the police about the matter. After this, the police reached the spot and started investigation.
Senior manager of the bank, Mukesh Kostha told that on Monday evening at around 7.30 pm, he closed the bank and went home. After this, a colleague who reached the bank this morning informed about the incident. After this he reached the spot at around 10 o’clock.
The manager told that unknown persons had made a hole in the wall behind the bank employee’s table in the premises. An attempt was also made to open the cupboards kept nearby. In which he could not succeed and absconded.
He informed the police and senior officials of the bank about the matter. After this, SDM Rahul Nayak and CSP Anjul Ayank Mishra reached the spot with the police force and started investigation. The manager told that there is no facility of watchman in the bank.
