Unknown thieves attempted to break into the State Bank of India’s Ramwapur Kali branch in Bansi, Siddharthnagar. However, their plan was thwarted by the timely alertness of nearby villagers. The incident, however, raises significant concerns about the bank’s security measures.
Villagers Spot Thieves Cutting the Wall
The attempted robbery occurred at the bank branch under the Golhaura police station. The bank manager reported that upon opening the branch in the morning, it was discovered that the thieves had tried to cut through the wall behind the building. Local villagers, noticing suspicious activity during the night, informed patrolling police officers, prompting the community to stay vigilant. Alerted by the villagers, the thieves fled the scene, preventing any major damage or theft.

The branch manager filed a formal complaint with the Golhaura police station and requested the implementation of stricter security measures to prevent future incidents. Additionally, the manager raised concerns about the bank’s security flaws in letters addressed to SP Siddharthnagar and senior bank officials, emphasizing the need for urgent attention to the matter.
