Police said the robbery took place when loud DJ music was playing at Bairya Chowk, which the burglar likely used to cover the noise of his activities. The music stopped around 2:20 am, prompting the burglar to flee. CCTV footage captured images of the masked intruder, who left behind a red gamchha and some tools.

“The branch didn’t lose any valuables, but some structures were damaged. Further investigation is underway,” Rajwar said.

The alarm was raised by the ATM guard after detecting a malfunction in the ATM machine. The bank informed the town police about the incident at 3 pm on October 2. The branch resumed normal operations the following day.
