Abohar, Fazilka, Punjab: A robbery attempt took place late Friday night at Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Balluana village, Abohar (Fazilka district). Thieves tried to break into the bank by making a hole in the back wall, but fortunately, they could not open the cash safe, so no money was stolen.

As soon as the bank staff discovered the break-in, they informed the police. The Sadar police station team reached the spot immediately and began investigating the case. The bank manager, Sachin, gave a statement to the police, based on which a case has been registered against unknown persons.

According to the manager, if the thieves had succeeded in opening the safe, the bank would have suffered a huge financial loss. Thankfully, the cash safe was too strong for the thieves to break open, and a major loss was avoided.

The station in-charge also confirmed that the police arrived quickly after receiving information and started examining the scene. Police officials believe that although the robbers failed this time, their attempt shows clear planning, and efforts are being made to identify and catch them.
