The Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India, invites applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Key Responsibilities
Innovation:
Establish RBIH as a global leader in financial innovation by developing and delivering cutting-edge digital public goods using advanced technologies.
Leadership:
Define and execute a strategic vision aligned with RBIH’s objectives and long-term goals.
Organisational Excellence:
Build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring operational efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and adherence to governance standards set by the Board, Reserve Bank of India, the Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
Research and Execution:
Identify and prioritize key innovation projects, ensuring their timely and impactful implementation.
Consumer Protection and Inclusion:
Ensure all innovation initiatives focus on advancing financial inclusion and consumer protection for the public good.
Ecosystem Collaboration:
Forge partnerships with startups, banks, academia, global innovation hubs, government entities, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Public Advocacy:
Influence stakeholders and foster meaningful collaborations across sectors.
Program Development:
Incubate and accelerate projects, partnerships, and collaborations within India’s fintech and startup ecosystem.
Desired Experience
- Eligibility: Indian citizen with 15+ years of professional experience, including significant roles in finance, payments, technology, and financial inclusion. Global experience is an advantage.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with frontier technologies and leveraging them to create digital public goods.
- Project Management: Proven track record in handling emerging technology projects, responsible innovation, and navigating uncharted domains.
- Leadership: Experience in vision setting, organization building, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Innovation Acumen: Deep understanding of innovation processes, ecosystem design, and global trends.
- Leadership Style: Collaborative, high-energy, empathetic, and capable of inspiring millennial teams.
