Distribution of School Bags and Food Items

As part of this initiative, PNB distributed essential items to schoolchildren to help ease their educational journey. At Chandwara Primary School, 170 children received school bags and food items, while 138 children from Saidanpur Primary School were also provided with the same support. This effort aims to encourage children to attend school regularly and enhance their learning experience by addressing their basic needs.

Installation of RO Water Coolers

In addition to distributing school supplies, PNB has installed RO (Reverse Osmosis) water coolers in both schools. This move is intended to ensure that children have access to safe and clean drinking water, which is essential for their health and overall development. Access to clean water reduces the risk of waterborne diseases, helping children stay healthy and active in their studies.

Focus on Rural Education and Health

During the event, Anurag Srivastava, Deputy Divisional Head of PNB’s Lucknow Division, highlighted the bank’s mission behind this initiative. He explained that the primary goal is to improve the quality of education in rural areas while also focusing on the health and well-being of children. By providing essential educational materials and ensuring access to clean drinking water, the bank aims to create a better learning environment for young students.

Participation of Key Officials and Local Representatives

The event witnessed the active participation of key PNB officials, including Vimlesh Kumar, Chief Manager of the Lucknow Division Office, and Jaiveer Singh, Manager of the Safdarganj Branch. Local representatives were also present to support and appreciate the bank’s initiative. Shailendra Kumar Jaiswal, Pradhan Representative of Chandwara, and Masood, Pradhan Representative of Saidanpur, attended the event and acknowledged the positive impact this program will have on their villages.

Conclusion

Punjab National Bank’s CSR initiative in Barabanki is a commendable effort to uplift rural education and promote children’s health. By adopting primary schools, distributing essential supplies, and installing RO water coolers, the bank is making a meaningful difference in the lives of children in Chandwara and Saidanpur. This initiative reflects PNB’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to contributing to the betterment of society, especially in rural areas.
