Punjab and Sind Bank has released notification for the post of Financial Literacy Counsellors from Retired Bank Officers. All details related to this recruitment are given below. Click here to check more jobs.

Eligibility and Preference

  • Retired Bank Officials from Public Sector Banks (Scale II and above) below the age of 65 years and in good health are eligible to apply for the post.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with good communication skills, a strong understanding of banking operations, and a passion for serving financially excluded individuals. Click here to check more jobs.

Contract Terms and Termination

  • FLC Counsellors will be hired on a contract basis for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal each year based on the recommendation of the concerned Zonal Manager. The contract can be terminated by the Competent Authority with 30 days’ prior notice.
  • Candidates from the same district will be preferred, but the Zonal Manager may recommend candidates from adjoining districts that are close to the FLC Centre.

Selection Process and Remuneration

  • Shortlisted candidates will be considered for hiring after obtaining vigilance clearance from the concerned Bank/s.
  • Candidates who have been dismissed from service or have received a CRS (Compulsory Retirement Scheme) or major penalty in the last five years of their service will not be considered.
  • FLC Counsellors will receive a fixed consolidated remuneration of Rs.12,000 per month, along with reimbursement of actual conveyance expenses of up to Rs. 2000 per month (by ordinary bus or any other ordinary means) from the concerned Zonal Office.

Application and Interview

  • Applicants will not receive any TA/DA (travel allowance/daily allowance) for participating in the interview.
  • FLC Counsellors will be stationed at the Block level branch/BDPO Office under the administrative control of the concerned Branch Manager.
  • They will be responsible for organizing indoor meetings and outdoor camps for officials, customers of different banks, and individuals who are still excluded from the banking system and unaware of the services available at their bank.
  • The Bank’s decision on hiring and posting will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • Candidates must submit their applications to the concerned Zonal Office. If applying for blocks in different zones, they should apply separately for each center.
