Alwar, Rajasthan: In Alwar, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) assaulted an insurance company manager and his father. He is also accused of abusing them and slapping the manager. The incident occurred around 10 pm on Wednesday night, just 50 meters from the NEB police station. CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Akash, a unit manager at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company at Ambedkar Square, and his father, Krishna Saini, have accused ASI Devi Sahay of the NEB police station of indecent behavior and assault. Krishna Saini runs a fast food stall 50 meters away from the police station.
Krishna Saini, said, “I run a fast-food stall near the cremation ground intersection. Around 10 p.m. on Wednesday night, I was about to pack up and leave with my son, Akash.” Just then, ASI Devi Sahay arrived in civilian clothes and, without warning, began abusing us. He demanded to remove the cart.
Krishna Saini said, “When my son Akash started filming the policeman’s actions, he became enraged. Suddenly, he started slapping and kicking him. The ASI arrested Akash and took him to the police station. He said that Devi Sahay wanted money from us for running food stall. Akash said the ASI was also drunk. A video of the entire incident has now surfaced, clearly showing the assault and misconduct by the ASI.
