PNB Signs MoU with Rajasthan Government for Rs.21,000 Crore Investment

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government to support the state’s Rising Rajasthan initiative. Under this agreement, PNB will help facilitate investments worth ₹21,000 crore for development projects in the state.
PNB’s Managing Director and CEO, Ashok Chandra, said that it was a matter of pride for the bank to be part of Rajasthan’s growth journey. He added that with PNB’s large branch network, strong digital banking services, and wide range of products, the bank is committed to contributing to the socio-economic development of the state.
He also said that this MoU would create a clear framework for financing eligible projects in Rajasthan and is in line with PNB’s mission to support development at the national level.

During his one-day visit to Jaipur, Ashok Chandra visited PNB branches and ATMs, met customers under the Customer Outreach Programme, and assured them of better digital banking services and financial inclusion. He also highlighted that customer satisfaction and service excellence remain the top priority for PNB’s 18.5 crore customers.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma shared on X that the MoU was signed between the Finance Department and PNB at the CM’s residence. He said that through this agreement, PNB will provide financial assistance for several government projects, calling it a “decisive step” towards achieving the vision of a Developed Rajasthan.
In the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Sh. Bhajan Lal Sharma and Sh. Vaibhav Galriya, Principal Secretary (Finance), Government of Rajasthan, along with Sh. Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO of the Bank, PNB signed an MoU with the Government of Rajasthan under the state’s ‘Rising Rajasthan’ initiative.
The MoU is aimed at creating a framework for financing eligible projects in line with Rajasthan’s ambitious development agenda, while furthering PNB’s commitment to driving Socio-Economic progress across the country.
