PNB Discontinues Manual Attendance Register from 1st January 2026

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has decided to discontinue the use of manual attendance registers across all its offices and branches with effect from January 1, 2026. The decision has been taken in view of the widespread adoption and benefits of the digital attendance system.
According to the bank, the digital mode of marking attendance has delivered several positive outcomes, including improved convenience, higher accuracy, enhanced transparency, and a significant reduction in paperwork. The system also helps in preventing errors and enables real-time monitoring of employee attendance.

In light of these advantages, PNB’s Human Resources Division has formally communicated that the manual attendance register will no longer be maintained in any office or branch from the specified date.
The move is expected to streamline administrative processes and further strengthen the bank’s shift towards digital governance and efficiency in human resource management.
How PNB Employees mark attendance?
PNB Employees mark attendance via a mobile app and biometric device. PNB has launched an app – PNB Aagman that allows employees to mark attendance via mobile. Alternatively, Bank has also the facility of biometric attendance marking. Employee can also mark attendance via biometric device in computer system.
