Three miscreants committed robbery at Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Udyog Nagar police station area of Bharatpur. Two miscreants entered the bank and fired in the air and fled with Rs 23,500 from the cashier.
During this time a miscreant remained standing outside the bank. The incident took place around 3 pm. Three miscreants came on bike to Punjab National Bank located at Udyog Nagar police station. All three had tied a cloth over their mouths. Two miscreants entered inside the bank and one miscreant remained standing outside the bank.
There is no guard deployed in the bank. Therefore no one stopped the two miscreants from going inside. Both the miscreants went straight to the cash counter. The female cashier employee asked robbers to remove the cloth from their mouth. The miscreants refused to remove the cloth from their mouth.
Then the female employee said – Are you guys drunk? You have been asked to remove the cloth from your mouth. Meanwhile, a miscreant took out a local pistol and fired in the air towards the roof. This created chaos in the bank. The second criminal climbed the cash counter and took away Rs 23,500 kept there.
After this both the miscreants ran out of the bank. All three along with their accomplice, who had already agreed, ran away on the bike. The incident happened so quickly that even the employees and customers present in the bank could not understand what happened suddenly. There were only 10 to 12 people in the bank at that time including the staff.
Let us tell you that a few days ago, outside this same bank, a miscreant had looted a bag containing tools from a CCTV mechanic with a country-made pistol. Even after this, guards were not deployed in the bank.
This is all happenning because of Department of Financial Services directive to nationalized banks to remove all security guards. The Finance Minister should be sacked for putting not only bank customer’s live and money in danger at hands of criminals but also that of the bank branch employees and of bank money
