Punjab National Bank (PNB) employees are protesting against the new Transfer Policy introduced by Bank recently. As per the new transfer policy, an officer will be posted, in a branch for 3 years, in a circle for 6 years and in a zone for 9 years.
Employees are saying that this will negatively impact their family and social life. AIPNBOA (All India Punjab National Bank Officers’ Association) has announced protest against this new transfer policy.
AIPNBOA has requested its members to close branches by 5 pm and withdraw the extra co-operation offered to Bank Management. There is also a news that strike may be announced on 28 and 29 March in Punjab National Bank if the new transfer policy is not cancelled.
PNB Employees have also left the official WhatsApp groups created by Bank management for day to day communication.
More details on this protest will be released soon.
