On Sunday evening, the body of a Punjab National Bank (PNB) employee was found inside a locked room in Syanj Bazaar, under Gohar subdivision of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh. Police reached the spot and have started an investigation.
According to reports, the bank employee had not arrived at a religious gathering (satsang) till evening. His friends tried calling him several times, but he did not respond. When they reached his room, they found the door locked from the inside.
Even after repeatedly calling out, there was no response from inside. When they peeped through the window, they saw the employee lying motionless on the floor. Realising the seriousness of the situation, locals immediately informed the Gohar police.
The police team reached the spot right away. Looking through the window, they suspected that the person was already dead. The police sealed the room and sent the body for post-mortem. Gohar police stated that the investigation is ongoing and the exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report is received.
