Punjab National Bank (PNB) has approved a revision in the Medical Aid scheme for its officers. As per the decision, Medical Aid will now be allowed at 50% of the revised basic pay, in line with the 9th Joint Note dated March 8, 2024, calculated as on 31 December of the previous year. The revised Medical Aid scheme will come into effect from the year 2026 onwards.
PNB has provided a simple online facility for its officers to claim Medical Aid on yearly basis. PNB Officers can enter the details in HRMS and the amount is credited to salary account on the same day. Not only Medical Aid, but PNB officers can also claim other benefits also online through HRMS without interference of any third employee/department.

It is good that Punjab National Bank has decided to reimburse medical aid at 50% of Basic pay. There should be no upper ceiling.
