The Prime Minister also urged the citizens to share selfies with indigenous products on the Namo App and make payments via UPI.
PM Modi shared an ad featuring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna, who bat for Vocal For Local movement. Returning in their roles as ‘Anupamaa’ and Anuj Kapadia, this ‘vocal for local’ advertisement encourages individuals to explore local brands rather than consistently opting for well-known and branded products.

The ‘Vocal for Local’ movement aims to produce and use local products also promote them. This initiative is targeted towards generating employment opportunities for a multitude of individuals within the region, fostering the growth of local markets.
The broader objective is to propel the progress of these local markets to a level where they can export their goods to numerous countries worldwide, thus bolstering the Indian economy.
