
The registration process for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2024 has commenced. Pilgrims can register online or offline at authorized bank branches. Offline registration can be done at approximately 446 branches of Punjab National Bank (PNB), Jammu and Kashmir Bank, and Yes Bank across the country.
Registration Dates and Fees: The registration process will start on April 17, 2024. The registration fee is Rs 150 per pilgrim for offline registration at bank branches. Online registration is also available, with a fee of Rs 220 per pilgrim.
Required Documents: Pilgrims need to provide certain documents for registration. These include a filled-in registration form, a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued by an authorized doctor or medical institution, and four passport-sized photographs. It is important to note that the CHC must be issued on or after a specified date.
Authorized Bank Branches: The authorized bank branches for registration are as follows:
- Punjab National Bank (PNB): Akhnoor Jammu, Rihari Chowk-69, BC Road Rihari, College Road Kathua (Jammu), Hotel Ambika Katra (Jammu), Main Bazaar Reasi, Ward-2 National Highway Samba.
- Jammu and Kashmir Bank: Doda, Bakshinagar, Gandhinagar, Residency Road, Billawar, Poonch, Rajori, Ramban, Karna Nagar Srinagar, Udhampur (Main), and Kishtwar branches in Jammu and Kashmir.
- State Bank of India (SBI): Jammutavi (J&K) branch.
Registration for Jammu and Kashmir: In Jammu and Kashmir, the registration process will take place in 21 branches of PNB, SBI, and Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
Registration for Ladakh: For Ladakh, the passenger registration facility will be available at the JK Bank branch in Leh.
Age and Health Restrictions: It is important to note that women below 13 years, above 70 years, and six weeks pregnant will not be allowed to travel.
Group Registration: Group registration facility is available for five or more pilgrims. Applications for group registration will be accepted until May 31, and permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
RFID Tags and Access Control: Pilgrims will be provided with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags to track their movements. It is mandatory to carry the RFID card, and no passenger will be allowed to proceed from Access Control Gate Domel and Chandanwadi without it.
Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) Centers: Authorized doctors in various medical centers across all twenty districts of Jammu and Kashmir have been authorized to issue Compulsory Health Certificates (CHCs) for Amarnath Advance Yatri Registration. The CHCs can be obtained from district hospitals, community medical centers, urban health centers, NTPHC, and UPHC.
