New Railway Tatkal Ticket Rules from 15 April, Check New Timings for Tatkal Ticket Booking

IRCTC has said that No such change in timings is currently proposed in the Tatkal or Premium Tatkal booking timings for AC or Non-AC classes. The permitted booking timings for agents also remain unchanged. So as of now, new timings are not valid.

Earlier, there was news that IRCTC has changed the timings for Tatkal Bookings and the news timings will be implemented from 15 April. The new proposed timings were:

How to Book Tatkal Tickets (Step-by-Step)
- Go to www.irctc.co.in or open the IRCTC app
- Choose your train and class (AC or Non-AC)
- Select the “Tatkal” quota
- Fill in passenger details and a valid ID proof number
- Make the payment to confirm your booking

Very good initiative by the Centrel Govt, Indian Railways at last the remedy cleared from a long sufferings by the poor & middle class people of India to atleast book the tatkal ticket without any worry. Also the lesson taught to the private agencies for not robbing public money & causing tension & worries for travelling peacefully. To hell with those dirty private agencies the big theives in India. Its impossible for general public to get a confirmed ticket under tatkal due to serious glitches in irctc app. This issue to be addressed by the top management in an empathetic way on top priority basis. The trust factor on irctc app got completely eroded due consistent prevailing of the same issues while booking a ticket under tatkal viz., the app will get automatically logged off at different stages either at login stage or while its time to enter captcha or some times just before enteringOTP
