Dayal Rawat, Regional Manager of Nainital Bank, died on Monday after a road accident in Moradabad.
Dayal Rawat was posted in Delhi. He was returning to Delhi from his home when his vehicle met with an accident in Moradabad. Three other people who were travelling with him also lost their lives in the accident.

He was a resident of Sariyatal village in Jeolikote. He started his career in Nainital Bank as a clerk and later became Regional Manager through hard work and dedication. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and one daughter. Bank employees have expressed deep sorrow over his death.

More than 1.73 lakh people were killed and 4.47 lakh injured in road accidents, according to NCRB data.

- 3 PM – 6 PM: 17.3% | 12 PM – 3 PM: 15%
- Two-wheelers caused the most deaths: 79,533 (45.8%).
- Followed by pedestrians: 27,586 (15.9%) and cars/SUVs/jeeps: 24,776 (14.3%).
- Highest two-wheeler deaths: Tamil Nadu (11,490) & Uttar Pradesh (8,370).
- Maximum car/SUV deaths and truck-related deaths also reported in Uttar Pradesh.
