Who is Mohan Yadav, the new CM of Madhya Pradesh

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finally announced the name of the chief minister-elect in Madhya Pradesh after the BJP observers met the newly elected BJP MLAs in the state. Mohan Yadav, who is an MLA from Ujjain South, is the Madhya Pradesh chief minister-elect. He was a minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet.

Who is Mohan Yadav?

Mohan Yadav is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was born on 25 March 1965. He is currently serving as the designate 19th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He represents Ujjain South constituency as Member of Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh since 2013.

Mohan Yadav Family and Education

Mohan Yadav was born to Poonam chand Yadav and Lilabai Yadav on 25 March 1965 in Ujjain. He is married to Seema Yadav, and they have two sons and a daughter.

He has received Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), LLB, Master of Arts (MA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) degrees from Vikram University in Ujjain.

Mohan Yadav Political Career

Mohan Yadav started his political career as a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He entered electoral politics in 2013 when he contested from the Ujjain South constituency. In 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, he was once again elected and became MLA from Ujjain South seat. He served as Education Minister of MP.

On 2 July 2020 he took the oath as cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government headed by Shivraj Singh Chouhan. On 11th December 2023, at the BJP Legislative members meet, he was announced as the 19th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
