Canara Bank branch manager Tapan Kumar Sahu, who was missing for the last three days, has been rescued from Ganjam district. Sahu has admitted to being under huge mental stress for some reasons, but has not revealed the exact details. Sahu is the manager of Badamba Branch of Canara Bank.
Police say that Sahu went missing by himself after switching off his mobile phone. He was not under the influence of any criminal activities.
“After questioning Sahu, we came to know that he was under huge mental pressure for some reasons. However, he has not revealed the exact reasons of the stress before us. As per our preliminary investigation, he went missing by himself after switching off the mobile phone. He was not under the influence of any criminal activities,” said Baral.
“He has not disclosed anything before us about the reason behind his mental pressure. He is still under the stress. After the completion of the legal formalities, we will hand him over to the family members. As part of the investigation process, he will be questioned further after his mental condition normalizes,” he added.
Sahu is currently being questioned by police and his mental condition is being monitored. He will be handed over to his family members after the completion of legal formalities.
Sahu’s wife had earlier accused the police of showing a lackadaisical attitude and not making efforts to trace him.
This is a startling revelation, as it shows that even people in high-pressure positions are not immune to mental health problems. It is important to remember that mental health is just as important as physical health, and we should seek help if we are struggling.
Notably, the bank manager who was mysteriously missing for the last three days was rescued from Girisola in Ganjam district. He was on his way to Girisola from Andhra Pradesh on his motorbike when he was traced and taken to the Golanthara Police Station.
