Meet Aditya Srivastava who left his Rs.30 Lakh Bank Job to become IAS

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently announced the final results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2023 on its official website. This year, Aditya Srivastava has secured the top position in the UPSC IAS exam 2023. Candidates can access the PDF of the results on the official websites: upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. The marks of the candidates will be released by UPSC after a period of 15 days.

Aditya Srivastava: The UPSC Topper

Aditya Srivastava is a resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He is currently under training at National Police Academy in Hyderabad. He was ranked 236th in the 2022 UPSC CSE and opted for the Indian Police Service. After getting selected as IPS, he again attempted UPSC CSE exam 2023 and got rank 1. This time he has been selected as IAS.

His father, Ajay Srivastava, serves as an AAO in the Central Audit Department, while his mother, Abha Srivastava, is a homemaker. Aditya’s younger sister is also preparing for the civil services examination in New Delhi.

Aditya’s educational journey began at CMS Aliganj in Lucknow, where he received his early education. After completing Class 12, he pursued B.Tech from IIT Kanpur. Before becoming a civil servant, Srivastava worked with Goldman Sachs in Bengaluru and earned around ₹2.5 lakhs a month.
