A controversial video allegedly showing Manohar Lal Dhakad, a resident of Bani village in Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh, engaging in an obscene act with a woman on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has gone viral, prompting public outrage and legal action. Video link is given at last.
The incident reportedly occurred on the night of May 13, 2025, and was captured by newly installed CCTV cameras near Mandsaur, approximately 200 km from Indore. The footage shows Dhakad and the woman exiting a white Baleno car registered in his name and engaging in a public sexual act. The video quickly spread across social media platforms, leading to widespread condemnation.
In response, Madhya Pradesh police registered a case against Dhakad and the unidentified woman under sections 296 (obscene acts in public), 285 (obstruction in public way), and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities have confirmed the video’s authenticity and are currently searching for the duo, who are reportedly absconding.
Amid rumors linking Dhakad to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mandsaur district BJP president Rajesh Dixit clarified that Dhakad had taken primary membership online but was not an active party leader. However, his wife, Sohan Bai, is a BJP-backed member of the district panchayat representing Ward No. 8. The BJP has condemned the act and stated that such individuals will not be allowed in the party.
Additionally, the Dhakad Mahasabha has removed Manohar Lal Dhakad from his position as president of the organization’s Youth Union following the incident.
The incident has sparked discussions on public decency and the responsibilities of individuals in public spaces. Authorities continue their investigation into the matter.
