According to officials, the state of Madhya Pradesh will become the seventh state in the country to implement a policy allowing shops and commercial establishments to stay open 24 hours. This decision, made by the state’s Mohan Yadav government, aims to boost revenue and create more employment opportunities.

The move will bring Madhya Pradesh in line with states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Telangana, which have already implemented similar policies. The announcement was made by MP’s Labour Minister, Prahlad Singh Patel, who stated that under the new proposal, all shops and establishments, including hotels, shopping complexes, malls, resorts, and movie theaters, located in notified municipal corporations, municipalities, and industrial areas will be allowed to operate 24/7.

A government official mentioned that the official notification regarding this policy is expected to be issued within the next couple of days. This initiative is seen as a step towards promoting economic growth and providing more convenience to the residents and visitors of Madhya Pradesh.
