Madhya Pradesh Government Declares Public Holiday on Ganesh Chaturthi (27th August)

The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a public holiday across the state on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi – 27th August 2025. Earlier, it was listed as an optional holiday, but it has now been converted into a general holiday.
According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department, all government offices, educational institutions, and other state establishments will remain closed on this day.
Copies of the order have been sent to the Chief Minister’s Office, Raj Bhavan, High Court, divisional commissioners, district collectors, panchayat officials, and other departments. The Department of Public Relations has also been instructed to ensure wide publicity of the decision for the general public.
