The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a public holiday on 4 March 2026 (Wednesday) on the occasion of Holi. Earlier, the government had already declared 3 March 2026 (Tuesday) as a public holiday for Holi in the official holiday list for the year 2026.

Now, the government has decided to declare 4 March 2026 as an additional public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. This decision was taken by the General Administration Department of Madhya Pradesh. With this order, offices, government departments, and banks in the state will remain closed on 4 March 2026.
