In a festive gesture, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced a special Diwali gift for government employees. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has declared holiday for Govardhan Puja on November 1. Diwali will be celebrated on October 31 and Govardhan Puja will be observed on November 1. The Chief Minister expressed the intention behind this decision: to enable employees to celebrate the festival with their families, fostering joy and traditional festivities.

The Madhya Pradesh government’s announcement of a four-day holiday for employees around Diwali is highly beneficial. This extended leave allows government workers to spend quality time with their families, strengthening familial bonds during a significant cultural celebration. The additional day off for Govardhan Puja offers employees a chance to fully engage in traditional festivities without the stress of returning to work immediately after Diwali. Overall, this initiative fosters employee morale, promotes work-life balance, and enhances job satisfaction, enabling a more relaxed and joyful holiday experience.
