LIC has launched Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2025. Interested and Eligible candidates can apply for this scholarship and Get Rs.40,000 Per Year scholarship.
Scholarship Scheme
The scholarship will be awarded to students studying in India in Government or Private colleges/universities. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centres (ITCs) affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Integrated courses after Class XII will also be included.
Scholarships will be of two types:
- General Scholarship
- Special Scholarship for Girls
Eligibility
[A] General Scholarship
a) After Class XII (12th):
Eligible candidates must:
- Have passed Class XII (Regular/Vocational) or Diploma with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the Academic Years 2022-23 / 2023-24 / 2024-25.
- Have taken admission in the Academic Year 2025-26 for pursuing a first-year degree course in one of the following fields:
- Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS)
- Engineering (BE, B.Tech, B.Arch)
- Graduation in any discipline
- Integrated Courses
- Diploma Courses in any field
- Other equivalent or vocational courses through Government-recognized colleges/institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
- Have parents/guardians with an annual income not exceeding ₹4,50,000 from all sources.
b) After Class X (10th):
Eligible candidates must:
- Have passed Class X (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the Academic Years 2022-23 / 2023-24 / 2024-25.
- Have taken admission in the Academic Year 2025-26 for pursuing first-year education in:
- Vocational Courses
- Diploma Courses through Government-recognized colleges/institutions
- Courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
- Have parents/guardians with an annual income not exceeding ₹4,50,000 from all sources.
[B] Special Scholarship for Girl Child (For Two Years)
Eligible female candidates must:
- Have passed Class X (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the Academic Years 2022-23 / 2023-24 / 2024-25.
- Have taken admission in the Academic Year 2025-26 for pursuing higher studies in the first year of Intermediate (10+2 pattern), Vocational, or Diploma Courses through Government-recognized colleges/institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The scholarship will be provided for two years.
- Have parents/guardians with an annual income not exceeding ₹4,50,000 from all sources.
Duration of Scholarship
The scholarship will be provided for the entire duration of the course, excluding the internship or stipendiary period, under the General Scholarship. For the Special Scholarship for Girls, it will be provided for two years. Continuation of the scholarship will depend on the candidate fulfilling the required eligibility conditions for renewal.
Amount of Scholarship
Under the General Scholarship, the amount will vary based on the field of study. Students pursuing Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS) will receive Rs. 40,000 per year, payable in two instalments of Rs. 20,000 each, during the entire course, subject to eligibility. Students pursuing Engineering (BE, B.Tech, B.Arch) will receive Rs. 30,000 per year, payable in two instalments of Rs. 15,000 each, subject to eligibility. Students pursuing Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma courses in any field, other equivalent courses, or Vocational courses through Government-recognized colleges/institutes or ITIs will receive Rs. 20,000 per year, payable in two instalments of Rs. 10,000 each, subject to eligibility.
Under the Special Scholarship for Girls, an amount of Rs. 15,000 per year will be awarded to girl students who have passed Class 10 and taken admission in Intermediate (10+2 pattern), Vocational, or Diploma courses through Government-recognized colleges/institutions or ITIs. This scholarship will be provided for two years and will be payable in two instalments of Rs. 7,500 each year, subject to eligibility.
